Full Moon, Tarot Reading

Full Moon in Aquarius & Lunar Eclipse Tarot Reading

On July 27th, we’ll find ourselves in the longest lunar eclipse of the century. The moon is full, and she’s in Aquarius. Being a lunar eclipse, we are pushed to look inward, and deeper than we might want to go. Our demons can be pretty scary. However, it’s super necessary to exorcise them in order to have any sort of progress.

Mars also wants some of the spotlight too, and is continuing its retrograde shenanigans for another month! It’s also very prominant during this eclipse, so get our your telescopes.

What does this all mean? Well, it differs based on your own cosmic make-up, however, collectively, there is a feeling of unrest, stuffiness, and over all “I am so over this shit, my shit, the world’s shit… merde!”

So, let’s do a reading! A Past/Present/Future to gain some insight and ideas for pressing forward during these eclipses (another on Aug 11th!) and retrogrades (Mercury is in retrograde as well.)

PAST – THE DEVIL (reversed)
The devil is in the details, and reversed, you’ve known these details for a while. How many of you are fairly self aware of your issues, addictions, weaknesses, desires, dreams, and yet you don’t do a thing to move past them or towards them? Same here my friends. Time to play our worst nightmare (the IRS) and audit our existence. Take note of all the crap and really sit in it. Create positive change and habits by really owning it and scheduling it into your world. Like, literally, get a journal, bullet journal if you are a doodler, plug in all the good stuff into your phone’s calendar… now is the time to produce your life. Look into your chart, and find the Virgo and/or Capricorn within. Astrology’s Type-A students right there. Channel that. If astrology is not your thing, but Grey’s Anatomy is, then you are to channel Ms. Christina Yang. Keeper of being the best at every damn thing she touches. But! No need to rush. We’ll get to that later.

Yang knows her crap!

PRESENT – KING OF CUPS
One of the most generous archetypes in the deck, The King of Cups is also a master of their feelings. So, maybe you’ve done the work of facing your emotional demons and you’re ready for the next step, the action. Or, this King is a figure in your life (doesn’t have to be male) that possesses these qualities of emotional restraint, generosity, and support. They are your mentor and guiding light in this process. If you don’t have someone like this, it might be time to invest in one. In order to battle those demons from your past, who is the type of person that can help you rise? A therapist? Mentor in your industry? Expert in your hobby? Start looking.

FUTURE – TWO OF PENTACLES (reversed)
Eclipse energy lasts 6 months, so there is no need to be hasty about any of this. Moving too fast might make you very discouraged. You might jump the gun, and your finances will take a hit, or you’ll engage in so much upheaval that everything is disorganized and malfunctions on you. Take. It. SLOW. As I said, really sit in all of this. Sit in the positive change. Sit in the personal analysis. Sit in the fact that, depending on your circumstances, you might be way more privileged than you ever thought. Just sit still for once and recognize what the most important bits to focus on are. Start budgeting your time, emotions, financials, etc. Create a new groove.

I hope this helps.

Happy Eclipse! Happy Full Moon! Happy Mars! Happy Mercury!
Did I leave anyone out? Probably… it’s crowded up there.

Tarot Reading

Mercury Retrograde: What it means + a Tarot Reading!

Every time Mercury goes Retrograde, I feel like more and more people are posting about it, or are aware of its existence. This is great, but let’s not add fuel to the fire.

Let’s first get into what Mercury Retrograde actually is:
It’s a time when the planet Mercury “appears” to be moving backwards across the sky. “Appears” being the operative word here, because it’s actually all an illusion to the human eye. But this illusion “might” cause a bit of drama. “Might” being the operative word here too.

This is a great explanation:
According to Dr. Hammergren, it’s just a trick of perspective. “Same thing if you were passing a car on a highway, maybe going a little bit faster than they are,” he says. “They’re not really going backwards, they just appear to be going backwards relative to your motion.”

So now that we have some science out of the way, let’s get into the “woo” of it all. It’s been long debated that during Mercury Retrograde, miscommunications, technology failures, delays, errors, and other etc. dramas are extra. Extra meaning, you feel like you are on a roller coaster that has a mind of its own.

While I do notice that things get hairier during Mercury Retrograde, I also stop and ask myself, “Well, what was the excuse for all that nonsense last month when Mercury was direct?”  Do we just notice shit hitting the fan more during a retrograde period?

This is totally fun to debate, but instead of getting no where, I do have some tips for not letting Mercury Retrograde get into your head. I also pulled some tarot cards that suggest some areas we can all work on during this time.

Mercury Retrograde is from March 22/23 – April 14/15.
Retrograde, in my world, means REGROUP.

Since Mercury rules communication, what “regrouping” can you do during a retrograde period?

CONTEXT
Context is key during this time. Take a breath before you respond to something, and really ask yourself if you have the whole story. We tend to interpret a person’s attitude by the words that they use in an email or text, but they’re not always accurate. Make sure you are being super clear when communicating, and on the flip side, make sure you have the whole story before you let someone have it! 😉 Also know that if you are as clear as day, dense people still won’t understand you. As a very logic driven person, my communications sound very direct, and perhaps intimidating/too know it all. In reality, I just want the job done well, and I want to call out discrepancies so that the next go-around is more balanced and seamless for everyone. It’s nothing personal (unless it’s personal).

CONTRACTS
Many believe that signing a contract is a BIG NO NO during retrograde. Honestly, sometimes we can’t get around that. We might miss the opportunity of a lifetime if we put too much weight on this. The best way to go about it in this case, is to let Mercury Retrograde be a reminder to check all of the fine print and really double check your work. Analyze every detail. Cover every base. Get second opinions.

CREATION
Many of us have just as many personal projects as we do in our careers. Retrograde is a great time to take a look at everything and see where you can adjust. Maybe there are some tasks that are holding you back, or ones that you need to get done to move forward. Perhaps your website needs a refresh, or your social media handles need some love in the content department. Take this time to explore new ways that you can hit the ground running once we are out of this period. Now’s the time to make sure your foundations are solid.

And now, for the fun part. My Mercury Retrograde Tarot Reading.
For this reading, I am using the cards as inspiration for specific things in our lives that need a refresh/regroup. One may apply to you, or a few, or all. That’s up to you.

THE HIEROPHANT -reversed
This card is rebellious. It symbolizes a person who wants to challenge the status quo. During retrograde, I would put some pause on your efforts for a few weeks. Only if you can. Regroup, and make sure your plan is full proof. You want your voice to be heard, so make sure your timing and approach is as close to perfect as you can get it. But remember, perfect does not exist on any scale.

THE MAGICIAN
This card is actually associated with Mercury! A true power card, this card suggests that you have everything you need to manifest your desires. That being said, there is a message that you need to remove all distractions so that you can focus on said desire. Use this retrograde period to spot the things that do not serve you and that will distract you. You might have to do some deep cleaning, you might have to postpone meetings, or remove tasks in your day-to-day that don’t do you any favors.

FOUR OF WANDS
This card represents the home. A harmonious one at that. So, are there repairs that need to get done? Do you need new appliances? Use this time to create an actionable plan for reinventing your space. Don’t start buying shit now, but search for the best deals, test paint colors, get quotes from different contractors, etc. This is experiment time!

THREE OF SWORDS (reversed)
If there was a recent end of a relationship, or even a loss of a friend or family member, this cards suggests that you have more healing to do before you can move on. It might not be the best time to jump into a new relationship. Or, the grief you are dealing with is still too strong. You are still in the weeds, so taking on new things might not be to your benefit. You could have a breakdown or burnout. Grief counseling, hanging out with friends, therapy, new self-care routines, relaxing, watching funny movies; all of things are chill ways, and effective ways, to get out of your funk once retrograde is over.

FOUR OF SWORDS (reversed)
Remember when I said above that you could have a breakdown or burnout if you don’t rest this one out? Well, here’s another warning regarding that. If you are the type of person that needs to get everything done at once (hi, have we met?), now is the time to take that metaphorical “chill pill”. While our minds are racing to get it all done, our bodies are like, “Yo, slow your roll!”  Eventually, our mind catches up and then we feel that hit. Lack of progress is very frustrating, but so is completely losing your mind. Find a balance between the two.

Overall, it is going to feel very difficult to slow down and reassess during this retrograde period. This is because we are also at the very start of the zodiac calendar with Aries, Aries is the first horse out of the gate (I hate horse racing btw, but I couldn’t think of another metaphor). This mentality of “I got this, let’s do this” is butted up against Mercury Retrograde and “slow down people, chill.” Oh the conundrum. Enjoy the balancing act that you are about to  perform. Make it look good!

Ostara & Rituals for the Spring Equinox

Ever wonder what bunnies and eggs have to do with Easter? The Spring Equinox (on March 20th), also known as Ostara, has quite a few similarities to Easter – like bunnies and eggs, and over time, the two traditions have shared some lore, messages, and rituals.

Ostara celebrates the seasons changing from dark to light, from winter to spring. Ostara (aka Eostra) is the Goddess who oversees nature’s bounty springing into action. Bunnies and eggs come into the picture, because they are a symbol of fertility, which directly correlates with the start of spring, seeds sprouting, and life beginning again.

The history books are very murky on this Pagan/Wiccan holiday (probably because it was stolen). I actually had a hard time finding concrete references that said the same thing, without also saying the history was murky. There is a “what came first, the chicken or the egg” debate. The chicken being Easter, the egg being Ostara. Or was it the other way around? Anyway! Without going too far down the rabbit hole that is the patriarchy (I had to), I’ll just share some of my favorite ways to ring in Spring! If you want to take a deeper dive in the history of it all, just google “Ostara”!

Ostara Rituals you can easily do at home:

Declutter: Spring Cleaning is a very popular way to start fresh in this season. Think of it like weeding the garden before planting. You’ve got to clean up in order to make room for new things to grow. To make things a little witchy, add new (or old because you just found them under the bed or in a box) candles, crystals, incense, flowers, plants and other decor that creates beautiful balance and positive energy in your newly fresh and clean space.

Extra Credit: Follow the Bagua map in Feng Shui to place your items.
For design inspiration, check out @daradubinet on instagram!

Plant Seeds: Literally and figuratively, this is the PERFECT time to start building your garden. A fun way to bring gardening and your other projects together, is to set intentions while you plant. For example, if finding love in your life is something that you want to work on, try planting roses, daisies, basil, cat nip, or lavender. There are many other herbs and flowers that symbolize love, these are just a few. When you go to germinate the seeds, set your intentions. As you care for your plant and watch it grow, imagine your openness to love getting stronger. It may sound hokey, but in the end you’ll have a beautiful garden to show for it. Something to love, eh?

If career is on your list, try planting: Chamomile, clover, sunflowers, or bay leaf.

If you do not have a green thumb, or you don’t have the space to plant, consider buying flowers for the week that correlate to what you are looking to accomplish. Or, consider creating your own artwork, or buy artwork that reflects what you desire.

I personally see this magic as something that keeps your desires in your sights. Out of sight out of mind as they say, but if you have your beautiful bouquet of sunflowers, it might remind you to post that article, or catch up with a former colleague. This is how “Practical Magick” works, and a big part of that is actually doing the work. Another part is the priviledge you have, and another part is luck. So it might work, it might not. I have to be honest here.

Green Cooking: Have some fun in the kitchen with beautiful greens. Seriously, just add kale to some mac n’ cheese and you’ve done it. However, if you want to get fancier with Spring foods, here are some recipes that are healthy, delicious, and green!

RAWfredo Pasta

photo 1

Sauce:

1 1/2 cup soaked/rinsed RAW cashews (soak overnight at the most)

Enough water to cover the cashews in a blender (have extra so you can add for desired thickness, this is YOUR call!)

1/2 lemon, juiced

2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 cup nutritional yeast

Sprinkle of dried sage and nutmeg

salt and pepper to taste

*if you like spice you can add some red pepper flakes

After you’ve soaked the raw cashews in water overnight, drain and rinse them. Add to a high-speed blender. I used a nutri-bullet. Cover the cashews with water. The water can exceed a bit above for now. You can always add more later to get desired thickness of sauce. Add in the remaining ingredients for the sauce. Blend until super creamy. Try and keep it on the thicker side because when you add this to the zucchini pasta below, the water from the zucchini will thin it out anyway. So thicker is better! Taste to see if you want more spices. Do what you want!

Pasta:

2 medium-large zucchini’s spiralized.

I use this model but you can also use a julienne peeler.

Mix the sauce into the pasta until all is covered. Then top the pasta with fresh or dried herbs. I used fresh basil and dried oregano. Truffle salt also tastes amazing on top of this dish.

This took all of 10 minutes to make. You just have to remember to soak the cashews!

Some other spring favorites of mine include adding Fiddleheads and Spring Onion Sprouts to sautes!

And here’s a video for a super fresh Cucumber Alfredo!

Happy Ostara!

New Moon, Tarot Reading

New Moon in Pisces Tarot Reading

The New Moon in Pisces today already brings us the messages to go with the flow and embrace our emotions; however, my reading today has a bit of warning when it comes to dealing with our emotions.

PAST – PRESENT – FUTURE Reading

Past – Ten of Cups
The picture perfect couple is displayed on this card. They are enjoying the fruits of their labors, and the bounty of their love for each other. In the real world, this can be a representation of a new love interest (the “one” perhaps), or feeling and having long-term satisfaction with a current partner.

In your career, this can represent you doing the work that you are most passionate about, and not worrying about the money.

This is a great card, but when things are going great the universe can tend to throw us curveballs in order to remind us that we need to continue to put in the efforts we have been in order to keep our happiness. We must continue to embrace the positive.

Present -Strength (reversed)
Our weaknesses and self-doubt can sometimes lure us away from our happy place. It’s a classic test to the ego. If you pass, you let go of your ego and stay confident in your true self. If you fail, you let Ego win and you lose touch with reality. It’s ok though, because this is all temporary. Remind yourself of your happy place, that Ten of Cups. We can stay in that place if we don’t doubt ourselves.

Future – King of Swords
I mentioned earlier that during this New Moon we are being encouraged to go with the flow and let our emotions play out. This card however, is a reminder to not completely throw logic out the window. This King is highly intellectual and more detached from emotion. He is a reminder to still use our intellect and rational thought when dealing with our feelings. Sure, we can cry long and hard about it, but the King of Swords wants us to have a plan once our tears have dried up. He wants us to get clear on the issues, and make sense of them. When we do this, we can get back to our happy place.

Full Moon, Tarot Reading

Full Moon in Virgo Reading

The first of two Full Moons in March ignites the sky tonight at 7:51pm EST.
It’s in the sign of Virgo, and below is our reading.

Virgo, the perfectionist, inspired my question this morning:
How can we deal with perfectionism and letting go?

Perfectionism is not the worst thing in the world. I LOVE details but I can get bogged down by them very easily. I tend to get the mentality of, “if I can’t do it perfectly, why even bother?” This is a slippery slope because it’s a classic block of fear, and it prevents us from going for it and living our lives.

How many times have you jotted down a great idea, and then when you started to create  it you got lost in being perfect, and the strain of it all made you toss it? The idea of not being perfect, or getting negative feedback, haunts you so much that you’d rather not even try. Don’t do it for those comments. Do it for the one comment that shows love for  your message!

And it’s funny, I was just in a meeting for a Mentor group and they said:
Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Got to love it when life imitates tarot!

PAST / PRESENT / FUTURE

Past: Judgement (re-evaluation)
In my deck, this card features mummies reaching out for their final judgement. It represents a time in which we need to re-evaluate our situation and judge what fits and what doesn’t. Bringing this back to perfectionism, the suggestion is to re-evaluate our past actions and see where we are getting hung up on the same small stuff.

Remember the I Love Lucy Christmas Special, where she had to get the tree perfectly trimmed and then by the time Fred was done taking her direction there were no branches left? That’s the downside to perfectionism. Take a step back. Be honest with yourself and others.

Present: Ace of Pentacles Reversed (lack of planning)
This card is funny coming out of a “stop planning so much” message, but it’s a nice reminder that balance is key. Our society throws labels at us, leaving us confused as to who we are supposed to be. Should I be perfect? Should I not give a shit? Should I stop planning? Should I plan? STOP. HUSH. The trick is to find the best cycle for yourself.

So if you need to stop it with the perfectionism and re-evaluate, take that time to form your NEW plan that resonates the most with your goal and your realistic capacity. It’s OK to plan, it’s OK to get things right, but don’t lose yourself in the process. Don’t lose the initial bigger picture concept. Take a step back and look at the entire canvas.

It can also be very rewarding to learn and prosper as you go. Give it a try!

Future: Six of Pentacles (generosity)
The best thing to come out of our successes is the ability to pay it forward in some way. Whether you are a teacher, doctor, artist, etc… your ability to provide an honest “service” to others is a beautiful way to create a ripple effect of positivity… should you choose to. And why wouldn’t you? That’s something to keep in mind as you re-evaluate your projects and situations. Instead of giving it the filter of perfection, give it the filter of generosity. How can you shift your goals from being just yours, to something that can also spark joy in others?

Letting go of perfectionism creates space for action and development.
Plan what you can, but get dirty too.
Learn from your mistakes and growth.

Just one of my lovely assistants. 🙂

Fresh and Rosey Hibiscus Tea

Magic happens in the kitchen.
Recipes are our practical spells!
Here’s a tonic/tea to get you started:

🌺 Fresh & Rosey Hibiscus Tea 🌺

(cold brewed)

1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers (tea)

2 tbs dried rose hips

2 tbs dried rose buds

1-2 droppers vanilla liquid stevia

orange and lime slices

Cold brewed: add ingredients (except fruit slices) to a cold brew filter. Fill cold brew carafe with warm water. Tighten lid and leave in fridge overnight. In morning, take the filter with tea out (press any liquid out) and reseal carafe. Keep in fridge and drink when desired. This tea tastes strong, so adjust hibiscus to your taste. Serve with fresh citrus.

Hibiscus = antioxidants.

Rose hips and citrus = vitamin c

Enjoy!

New Moon, Spirituality, Tarot Reading

New Moon & Solar Eclipse in Aquarius Reading

There is a New Moon and Solar Eclipse (partial) in Aquarius today! Aquarians must march to the beat of their own drum. They really value their alone time and independence. We all have Aquarius somewhere in our chart. Where it falls tells you where you need to listen to your own intuition and trust your gut.

For this New Moon reading, really think where you need to just allow yourself to be you; although I believe you should be you in everything, but let’s just focus on one thing to get clarity on today.

Past – Present – Future Reading

Past – THE WORLD
Completion / Integration / Accomplishment

This card suggests that in the past you have been putting in the effort and now things are, or are about to, pay off! You’ve got the world at your fingertips. This could be in the form of a career change, a new project launch, retirement, marriage, a newborn, and more. If you feel like you are stuck, take an inventory of your talents and skills and see where they can propel you to the next stage of the game.

Present – PAGE OF CUPS (reversed)
Emotional Immaturity / Creative Blocks

When we go for the gold and start our new adventures, we can get blindsided by the initial excitement. Kind of like Ben and Elaine in The Graduate. They did it. They got on that bus and then thought, “Now what?” But don’t worry, this doesn’t necessarily mean that following your dream was a mistake.  If your ideas are there, but you can’t seem to bring them to life, consider finding a mentor in your field, join communities, attend events, read more books, or just phone a friend! Let all of these tactics inspire your creativity and motivate you to push it through. We all hit the wall at some point, but that doesn’t mean we can’t work around it or even bust through it.

Future – THE HIGH PRIESTESS
Intuition / Higher Power / Mystery / Subconscious

The High Priestess rules the unconscious. When she pops up, she’s telling us that we need to spend some time alone and truly pay attention to our dreams and intuition. How fitting for a New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Aquarius! Look for the hidden messages within you. Listen to yourself, and act accordingly. Really find out where you need to trust your gut so that you can bring your passions to life.  If you’ve done your work, if you’ve launched your dream, really listen to yourself so that you can keep the momentum going strong. Don’t lose steam now!

Today’s Mantra: My inner compass knows the way.

Insects, rituals, Spells

Manifesting with Bugs

We can pull from nature in many places to enhance our magic. Many insects get a bad rap, but they are actually great resources for spiritual work. Bugs are resilient creatures that contribute daily to our ecosystem. Let’s show them some appreciation.

Here are just a few SIMPLE ways that you can incorporate bugs into your daily practice:

Draw them
Wear them with no harm (jewelry designs, clothing designs, etc)
Research
Conservation efforts
Visualize them doing their thang, to inspire you to do yours

Pair bugs with what you are specifically working on. Here are some graphics that showcase what each bug can represent for you.

Please note that this is meant to be a fun post. When you see one of these bugs in nature, you can marvel at their symbolism and beauty. I am NOT saying that if you see a ladybug, all of your dreams will come true, just like that! That is horseshit! Which reminds me, I should have done a graphic for flies! :o)

Full Moon, Tarot Reading

Full Moon in Leo/Eclipse Tarot Reading

The Full Moon in Leo today also offers us an eclipse (it happened this morning, but eclipse energy can last for months), and it’s a Blue Moon. Let’s break this down.

(Scroll down for the reading if you just came here for that.)

Full Moon in Leo:
Full Moons “shine a light” on things in our lives, versus a New Moon which is more of a grounding and manifesting period. Full Moons can feel intense for some people. Since the moon is “heavy” with light, we ourselves can feel heavy. The moon controls the tides, and when full and strong, it can send waves through our emotions. Enter Leo, a fire sign that is the “star” of the zodiac. Together, this makes for a powerful moon and one you can use to build courage, confidence and strength. In essence, be the “star” in your own life.

Lunar Eclipses:
A lunar eclipse is when the earth’s shadow covers the moon. When this happens during a full moon, it can represent our “shadow side” taking over for a spell. Our shadow side is the darker part of our personality. That may be the identity everyone knows, or the one you hide from the world. It’s usually the latter for most people. During this moon and eclipse, your shadow side wants to come and play. This was particularly interesting to me because my Sun sign is Leo… and the Sun is in Aquarius during this time… and my moon sign is Aquarius. So, for me, I feel like my Sun and Moon have switched roles. They are seeing how the other half lives and offering advise to one another. I feel like for the first time they want to play nice. For years I’ve been a walking contradiction in terms of my personality.

Blue Moon
You know the saying, “Once in a Blue Moon”? That applies here because Blue Moons happen infrequently. It’s when a month has TWO full moons. Usually, we just have one full moon and one new moon in a month. So that just makes this sequence of cosmic events extra unique. Blue Moons are like bookends for the month they happen in. What happens between these full moons, stays between these full moons. And yes, it can feel like you are smack in the middle of a shit sandwich.

In a nutshell, I tend to see the new and full moons as a time for me to reflect and reassess my goals. It’s all in what you make of it, really. If you don’t care or don’t think they are powerful, they won’t be. If you use the time to strengthen yourself, and you actually do the work, then they can be very useful to you. This is all mind over matter.

PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE READING FOR THE FULL MOON IN LEO

PAST : THE HERMIT (reversed)
Isolation/Loneliness/Withdrawal
In the past, people have either been soul-searching for too long, or not enough. If you are not sure where you land, here’s a way to figure it out: Have you been struggling to “find yourself”? Do you not know your purpose? Do you ask yourself those questions all the time? If so, you haven’t spent enough time working things through on your own. You get distracted by other people too easily. It’s time to come inside. OR… Have you been isolated from society? Do you always decline social gatherings and avoid people at all costs? If so, it’s time to come out. This Full Moon in Leo is shining a light on what hasn’t been working, and you need to decide if you are meant to be center stage right now, or still in rehearsal. The Leo aspect however, tells me it’s show time! But make sure you are prepared for the attention, and you know your lines and marks.

PRESENT : ACE OF PENTACLES (reversed)
Lost Opportunity/Lack of Planning
If you’ve been too isolated, you could be missing important opportunities for growth. If you’ve been suffering from the consequences of poor planning, it could be because you are not giving yourself the time needed to reassess yourself. It’s time to find a balance between being alone and getting your shit together, and communing and getting inspired by the outside world. It’ll come to a point where social media doesn’t count for that last part. Get some literal face-time. Smoke and mirrors only goes so far.

FUTURE : DEATH (reversed)
Resistance to Change/Unable to Move On
You might feel like you are on the verge of change, but you are resistant to it and you just can’t seem to see a future that looks bright and shiny. Harmful feelings of the past may have isolated and trapped you, or you are constantly running away from facing them. Think of past emotions and hardships as strings, and you are the puppet. It’s time to cut loose. Cut the ties to things, and people, that do not serve you.

Today’s Mantra: I am Ready, Thank you.

Tarot Reading

New Moon in Capricorn Tarot Reading

On January 16th, there will be a New Moon in Capricorn. New Moons mean new beginnings and a time to re-evaluate and manifest. While Capricorn, is a sign of integrity, accomplishments, structure and patience. So now we are putting the two together.

My readings for Moon Cycles are usually Past/Present/Future readings… and they mean just that. What can we learn from the past, what can we focus on now, and what could our futures hold? This isn’t fortune telling, but rather a tactic that can help us all personally develop into what we’ve always wanted to become.

The Reading…

PAST: 4 of Pentacles (reversed):

Greed/Materialism/Self-Protection

This card suggests a period of being haunted by the thought of going broke, losing a job (that you don’t even like), not trusting others, and spending too little or too much money. You are not communicating authentically, and have no energy left for yourself. This card wants one to loosen their grip, take chances, and step outside their comfort zone. And in doing so, things will get rocky. Hang in there.

PRESENT: The Tower

Upheavel/Sudden Change/Revelation

Enter the rockiness. Once you loosen the grip, you may lose your balance. You may even fall. But The Tower Card represents someone who is willing to battle in the storm. They are willing to fall, break a few bones maybe, but then heal and come back stronger than ever before. The “shake-up” in the past was necessary, but it’s only temporary if one chooses it to be so. Are you willing to accept the change? Are you willing to let go of the structures you complain about on a daily basis? Remove the shackles, Blanche.

FUTURE: Judgement

Self-Doubt/Reflection

So you took a leap of faith and you fell. Take this time out to re-evaluate and learn from your past. This time was given to you. When this card shows up, it also wants you to release any guilt, shame, or sorrow before you move forward. There’s no place for that in the future. Time to find like minded souls, and follow the path you’ve always wanted to go down.

New Moon Mantra: With a steady mind I am connected to our collective experience.
